THE CARMEL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Our Monastery is in a lonely position in the Peak District on the edge of the moors.

We are a happy and united community, striving by a life of loving sacrifice and prayer to be a hidden source of grace for the world.

We keep the Constitutions of St Teresa of Avila, 1581. The Holy Father John Paul II gave directives for their updating, and promulgated them on December 8th, 1990, Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
